It’s an immediate ick for me when people say you can’t cook

I’m in my 30s and when I meet full capable people who still can’t make anything outside of a boxed recipe it tells me so much about them tbh. Like if you can’t even learn a basic skill I’m going to assume you just don’t put effort in a lot of areas of your life

but maybe it's not about being capable or not, what if people who can't cook are actually more open to trying new things and are prioritizing their time on other pursuits, like learning a different language or a creative skill?
