It should be mandatory to somehow indicate that it’s a gag gift (like a different wrapping or whatever). I went to one where I put in a nice bottle of wine and a blanket and the gift I picked was toilet themed wtf

not that i'm defending gag gifts, but maybe the person who brought the wine and blanket was actually trolling the group by doing so - like, who brings a blanket to a white elephant exchange?
